Women Fly!

"The joy of flying this morning was better than I could have imagined! Thank you for your patient and fun instruction. What a talent to not only be able to fly well but to teach it well also!"

— Rebekah S. of Minneapolis, MN, Student Pilot

Although we are happy to teach everyone who is interested in learning how to fly, we extend a special invitation to women. It is an unfortunate fact that women are under-represented in aviation.  As of 2010 only one in 5,600 American women have earned their Private Pilot rating or higher. This is based on tradition, not ability or interest.

Aviation is a great confidence builder. You will acquire new knowledge and skills, while discovering that you can do it! Enjoy seeing the other side of the clouds, the earth from above, traveling to great destinations, and creating friendships with other women pilots. You may wish to join TheNinety-Nines, an international organization of women pilots. Girls in grades 9- 12 may be interested in the Experimental Aircraft Association's WomenSoar Program. Also, take a look at Girls with Wings.

Our Beechcraft Skipper is a like-new airplane. It has the best combination of comfort, safety, and economical flying of any training airplane ever made. Maintained to a very high standard, it is an airplane that you will enjoy flying.
